Believe it or not my official dealer changed both of my rear tires but overcharged them ! They were charged at a pressure of 2.2 instead of 2.9 -thats more than 30% above what it should be!. I know that the consequenses are increase wear and tear,uneven erosion as well as poor grip but I would also like to know If this is considered a compromise of safety! Thanks

The net effect is that the load is carried on the center tread as opposed to being properly distributed over the tread face. Less contact with road means less traction. It's pretty obvious that less traction means less safety.
