So I just purchased my first bmw (91 325ix)! at some point I would like to attempt to rebuild the engine (it has 160k on it). However I've never rebuilt an engine before. does anyone know of any books, like rebuilding a bmw engine for dummies?

You might want to inspect the timing chain. My 2002 has a non-interference engine, I'm not sure about the 325.
Does it run well?
Does it leak fluids? -
