My car(Minicooper) is still under warranty and i need to know if the agent here is trying to cut corners!
One of my rear tires (runflat) is damaged, its a Goodyear but the agent wants to replace it with a Pirelli due to availability (Goodyear out of stock)
The problem is he offered to change the 2 rear tires and have them both Pirelli but the two foward will remain Goodyear! Is that perfectly OK ? I wouldnt really mind if my car was an old second hand model but its new! (3months old)

Re: Technical question!

Wed, February 20, 2008 - 4:20 PMYou can run different tires as you described.
I'd flip the order though putting the Pirellis in the front. They roll easier and you want the slower tires in the rear.

Re: Technical question!
Wed, February 20, 2008 - 5:07 PMThere's no problem with having mismatched tires on the front and the rear, but there's no problem driving a Chevy either. Just sayin' is all.
